Fun things to do with your leftover Halloween candy; from freezing and baking it into sweet treats, to turning it into crafts, games and science experiments.

Healthy Candy Options for Halloween

While candy isn’t necessarily called “healthy,” there are a few reasons why these alternatives shared in this article are better for your kids, than the mainstream candy they may receive trick-or-treating this year.

Halloween candies contain risky ingredients that no child should be eating… artificial colors, artificial flavors, GMOs, TBHQ, BHT… and more.

I know what you may be thinking.

But it’s only one day a year, you need to calm down….

To be clear, I’m not saying you should never buy or eat candy, but if you normally avoid artificial colors, artificial flavors GMO’s, controversial preservatives, and eat organic, I ask you to think about all the holidays we have that include candy and chocolate.

Halloween, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Easter, Birthdays, Parties, even going to the movies… all with candy, candy and more candy.

Mainstream candy is filled with artificial colors, artificial flavors and risky preservatives, and the time before and after the holidays when the candy is in your home, it all adds up for to being more than “just one day a year.”

There are so many better options available if you want to have candy.

I’ve made it easy for your make healthier swaps with delicious alternatives to popular Halloween candies… everything from Snickers, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, Starburst, M&M’s…I’ve got you covered.
