Kid’s Printable New Years Activity Word Search

We’re gearing up for New Years Eve at our house. Nothing crazy or anything, but I’m loading up on activities for my three kids to do throughout the day and as we start a countdown until midnight (er umm…. 9pm.)

If you need ideas, here are 25 Awesome Kid’s New Year’s Activities that are fun, hilarious and super simple to do!

My kids are really, really into word searches right now, especially my Kindergartener who is excited to find words and letters in books, magazines and of course, word searches. You can do a word search as part of school, or as a fun New Year’s Eve activity.

This word search I created has 16 different words and phrases commonly associated with New Years to describe this festive night, and new beginning.

Want to Make a Little Friendly Competition?

My kids are a bit competitive with each other and like to make everything a fun competition. You have kids like that too or want a little competition to the night? Here are two fun ways you can do this:

  • Set the timer for five minutes and see how many each player can find.
  • Have a face-off and see who can find all 16 words the fastest.

What You’ll Receive With the Free Download:

  • One page printable (PDF format)
  • Standard paper size (letter, 8.5” x 11”)
